Video 3 in a series of four divulgative videos (targeted at museum visitors), describing the Pisa Griffin The Pisa Griffin is a bronze sculpture of a griffin, located in Pisa (Italy) since the Middle Ages, even though originally is a product of Mediterranean Islamic workshops. It is the largest medieval Islamic metal sculpture known, over 1 meter tall, and was probably crafted in the 11th century in Islamic Spain. It is one of the most famous example of a tradition of zoomorphic bronzes in Islamic art. It is now conserved in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Pisa.
