Luni Temple - Pediment A - Musa II master 3D model
3D master geometric model of the Musa II statue - Luni Temple, pediment group A - 3D model generated through Laser Triangulation 3D Scanning, triangulated surface mesh at maximum resolution (3 millions of triangles) - the master model is used for metric documentation.
The Group A is a series of 5 terracotta statues, coming from the Pediment of the now lost Great Temple of Luni, Etruscan-Roman age. Located in Luni (Tuscany), the remains of the pediment are conserved in the Archeological Museum in Florence and in the Centro di Restauro Archeologico in Florence.
3D digitization by Visual Computing Lab, ISTI-CNR - Collaboration between ISTI-CNR and the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici della Toscana, digitization of groups A and B of the Luni Temple pediment, model creation and color mapping, experimentation on ancient color reconstruction, digital reconstruction of the Temple, creation of presentation videos.
