Image of the Paphos Gate in Nicosia, 3D data acquisition

This image was taken at the site of the Paphos Gate and it depicts the Surphaser 25 HSX hemispherical 3D laser scanner in process positioned before the tunnel. On the scene there are also three members of the STARC team monitoring the activity. The exit of the tunnel leads to the modern part of the city, outside the walls. Finally, on the right side of the gate there is one of the two Venetian corridors that lead to the entrance of the portal, while the space above the tunnel today facilitates the buildings of the Paphos Gate police station. The picture was taken during the 3D scanning session of March 2014.
