3D low-resolution geometric model of the Cosimo I statue, from the Cavalieri Square, Pisa - Model generated by Time-of-Flight 3D laser scanning - Triangulated surface mesh simplified from master model for rendering and printing (2 millions of triangles) - geometry only. 3D digitization by Visual Computing Lab, ISTI-CNR - 3D survey done in the framework of the regional project VISITO Tuscany, aimed at creating digital models for touristic promotion purposes. Piazza dei Cavalieri (Knight's square) is the second most important square of the city of Pisa, close to the Piazza dei Miracoli (Miracle Square), this square was the political centre in medieval times.
