Delos statues - Galata 3D master model
3D master model of the Fighting Galata statue from the National Archaeological Museum of Athens - Model generated by Triangulation 3D laser scanning, raw 3D data processing and surface creation done in MeshLab - Geometry only - Triangulated surface mesh at maximum resolution for the original polychromy reconstruction.
3D digitization by Visual Computing Lab, ISTI-CNR - Collaboration between ISTI-CNR and Professor Philippe Jockey Université d'Aix-Marseille, in the framework of the ARCHEOMED (FESR - Programma Interreg IIIB Medocc - MEDA) - 3D models used to digitally reconstruct original polychromy.
This group of marble statues, a product of the hellenistic period, comes from the island of Delos (Greece), they are now located in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens and in the Archaeological Museum of Delos.
