3D Point cloud of the Maschio Angioino interior (Sala dei Baroni, Cappella Palatina, courtyard) - aligned raw scans (points + normals + reflectance) - 310 millions points - time-of-flight interference laser scanning. 3D digitization by Visual Computing Lab, ISTI-CNR - Collaboration between ISTI-CNR and the Universita Suor Orsola Benincasa, in the framework of a regional project - Models created for metric documentation and interactive visualization to general public for tourism purposes. The Castel Nuovo ("New Castle"), most times called Maschio Angioino, is a castle located in the center of Naples. Construction began in 1279, and was modified many times until the 1823; it is one of the most iconic architectural landmarks of the city.
