3D model of a Taberancolo in the Cappella Palatina, Maschio Angioino (Neaples, Italy) - 3D model generated through 3D-from-photos (Dense stereo Matching), triangulated surface mesh at maximum resolution (1.1 millions of triangles) - Texture mapped from photos. 3D digitization by Visual Computing Lab, ISTI-CNR - Collaboration between ISTI-CNR and the Universita Suor Orsola Benincasa, in the framework of a regional project - Models created for metric documentation and interactive visualization to general public for tourism purposes. The Castel Nuovo ("New Castle"), most times called Maschio Angioino, is a castle located in the center of Naples. Construction began in 1279, and was modified many times until the 1823; it is one of the most iconic architectural landmarks of the city.
