Modelling and digitization process -"Suicide of Aiace" metope HighRes |
Description
|
In-house developed algorithms and combined with commercial packages were used to generate a dense point cloud. The obtained dense point cloud was triangulated to derive a mesh model and finally a high resolution texture was generated. |

Metric survey - "Suicide of Aiace" metope |
Description
|
Combined photogrammetric and triangulation-based strip projection scanning surveys were carried out to obtain the complete 3D model.
For reconstructing the geometry of the front part, 110 photos were acquired, using 18 Megapixel Canon EOS 600D (pixel size of 0.004 mm), with a 18-55 mm lens @24mm.
For texturing the front part, additional 57 images were acquired with a Panasonic DMC-TZ7 (pixel size of 0.0015 mm). The back and upper part of the object was surveyed using a triangulation-based strip projection ARTEC 3DMH scanner. |
