The medallion depicts the profile bust of Emperor Charles V, crowned and in armor parade. The effigy is framed by a wreath of flowers and fruit and two concentric moldings for ova and classic arches (kyma ionic and lesbian). Everything seems to be hanging on the wall by fluttering ribbons held in the mouth of a lion.
Charles V was king of Spain, King of Italy, Archduke of Austria and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, son of Philip the Fair.
